Overview

This section contains information on commissioning and tasks that should be performed
on the bench prior to installation, as well as tasks performed after installation as described

This section also provides instructions on configuring with Field Communicator, AMS
Device Manager, and Local Operator Interface (LOI). For convenience, Field Communicator
Fast Key sequences are labeled Fast Keys, and abbreviated LOI menus are provided for each
function below.

Before connecting a handheld communicator in an explosive atmosphere, ensure
that the instruments in the loop are installed in accordance with intrinsically safe or
non-incendive field wiring practices.
In an explosion-proof/flameproof installation, do not remove the transmitter covers
when power is applied to the unit.
Install and tighten process connectors before applying pressure.
Avoid contact with the leads and terminals. High voltage that may be present on
leads can cause electrical shock.
