Make sure the cable shield is:
• Trimmed close and insulated from touching the transmitter housing.
• Continuously connected to the termination point.
• Connected to a good earth ground at the power supply end.
The cover must be fully engaged to comply with explosion-proof requirements.
At terminations outside the transmitter housing, make sure the cable shield drain
wire is continuously connected.
Prior to the termination point, insulate any exposed shield drain wire as shown in
Figure 4-7 (B).
