Perform a digital zero trim (option DZ)
A digital zero trim (option DZ) provides the same function as a zero/lower sensor trim, but
you can complete it in hazardous areas at any given time by simply pushing the Zero trim
button when the transmitter is at zero pressure.
If the transmitter is not close enough to zero when you push the button, the command
may fail due to excess correction. If desired, you can perform a digital zero trim by using
external configuration buttons located underneath the top tag of the transmitter. See
Table 5-1
Procedure
1. Loosen the top tag of the transmitter to expose buttons.
2. Press and hold the Digital zero button for at least two seconds; then release to
5.5.3 Recall factory trim - sensor trim
You can use the recall factory trim - sensor trim command to restore the as-shipped
factory settings of the sensor trim.
This command can be useful for recovering from an inadvertant zero trim of an absolute
pressure unit or inaccurate pressure source.
Recall factory trim with a Field Communicator
From the HOME screen, enter the Fast Key sequence and follow the steps within the Field
Communicator to complete the sensor trim.

Recall factory trim with AMS Device Manager
Complete the following steps to restore the sensor trim factory settings with AMS Device
Manager.
Procedure
1. Right-click the device. Under the Method drop down menu, move cursor over

3. Under Trim to recall, select Sensor Trim and click Next.
4. Follow the screen prompts to recall sensor trim.
