1.1.2. The r eagents
Purpose & methodology
Diluent (blue)
• Diluent for use in hematology
analyzers.
• Ready-to-use diluent for DC
detection and whole blood ab-
sorbance analysis.
Lysing reagent (purple)
• Reagent for lysing RBC for ac-
curate WBC count and hemo-
globin determination
• The reagent is colorless, trans-
parent and contains no cyanide.
• This is a lysing reagent to
lyse the erythrocytes, allows
a leukocyte count and volume
distribution analysis by the DC
detection method.
• Hemoglobin is released during
RBC lysis, and is converted to
pocH-pack 65
the red methemoglobin.
• Optional pocH-pack 65XL can
be used. The purpose & meth-
odology, Storage & shelf life,
and Composition are same
with the pocH-pack 65.
• A portion of this diluted sample
is transferred automatically
to the hemoglobin detector,
where the absorbance of the
red pigment is measured to
provide the blood hemoglobin
concentration.
* T his is image of the pocH-pack 65. T he pocH-pack 65XL does not have waste container.
