CAUTION
Risk of injury as a result of excessive strain. The superior
strength of the ROBO-WRIST's 3D locking mechanism has been well
documented and tested to withstand the majority of tasks to which
the patient subjects it, if used properly. However, the two-part titanium
adapter must be used as described in section 1.2 Accessories to
prevent damage to the actuator assembly or ball bearing when carrying
out strenuous tasks.
If the wearer of the ROBO-WRIST joint does not use the two-part
titanium adapter as prescribed during the mentioned activities, the
terminal device could slip slightly from its assigned angular position,
and even potentially to the stop on the tension ring. If this occurs, the
interlocking surfaces, actuator, actuator pins and ball head should
immediately be inspected for damage.
If either of the two interlocking parts has been damaged due to
negligence on the part of the patient, the resulting repair costs shall be
borne by the user and are not covered by the 2-year ROBO-WRIST
warranty.
NOTICE
Risk of corrosion. Prosthetic components must not be exposed to
corrosive elements such as fresh water, salt water and acids.
Using this medical product in such environmental conditions will render
all claims against Medical Bionics null and void.
NOTICE
Damage due to incorrect environmental conditions. Prosthetic
components must not be subjected to intense smoke, dust, vibrations,
shocks or high temperatures. Do not allow debris or liquids to get into
the prosthetic components. Failure to follow these instructions may lead
to malfunctioning and damage to the prosthesis.
