NOTICE
Damage caused by improper cleaning agents. Do not use any
aggres-sive cleaning agents. They may cause damage to bearings,
seals and plas-tic parts.
2.4. Function
Remove the ROBO-WRIST joint and one ball insert (10A31 adapter) from
the packaging.
The function is illustrated in Figure 1. Press the ball button and insert the
ball insert into the ball joint. Twist slightly and push down hard until the
insert engages in the ball joint.
Pushing the actuating button all the way in unlocks the ROBO-WRIST.
Hold the ball insert and move the ball joint left-right-up-down.
Turn the tension ring clockwise and counter-clockwise. You should be able
to hear and feel it click. Observe the variable ball joint tension.
The ball joint can be moved 43 degrees from side to side on a 360 degree
periphery. Pushing the actuating button halfway locks the ball joint in the
desired position.
The actuating button can also be used as a bump-switch to lock or unlock
the ROBO-WRIST joint by bumping it against a body part such as the palm
of hand, arm, knee, thigh or other firm surface.
Turning the actuating button 45 degrees clockwise prevents the inadvertent
locking or unlocking of the ROBO-WRIST joint (button lock).
The terminal device can be exchanged by pushing the ball button and
pulling out the ball insert.
The two-part titanium adapter shown in Figure 3 can be used whenever
necessary. The locking insert is compatible with any other ROBO-WRIST
insert but ideally should only be used in conjunction with the locking ring.
The locking ring can be rotated on the insert after installing it. The ball joint
is held straight when it is fitted firmly on the tension ring and can therefore
stand up to demanding loads.
