Description

WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury,
possible death or damage to the engine or vehicle,
make sure the transmission is in neutral, parking
brake is set, and wheels are blocked before doing
service bay diagnostics on engine or vehicle.
The Diagnostic Form (Performance side) directs
technicians
to
systematically
performance condition and
repairs.
This section shows detailed instructions of the tests
on the form. The manual should be used with the form
and referenced for supplemental test information. Use
the form as a worksheet to record all test results.
Do all tests in sequence, unless otherwise stated.
Doing a test out of sequence can cause incorrect
results. If a problem was found and corrected, it is
not necessary to complete the remaining tests.
See appendices for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
and engine specifications.
