Interconnect module configurations
The HPE Synergy 12000 Frame supports a pair of redundant interconnect modules for each of the three fabrics. Hewlett
Packard Enterprise recommends the following best practices:
• Fabric 1 primary use—Storage
• Fabric 2 primary use—Storage or networking
• Fabric 3 primary use—Networking
NOTE: Though each fabric has a recommended primary use, it is not required to use the primary use case. If a fabric is
not being used for its primary use, it can still be used for another purpose, within the allowances.
