Windshield assembly bolt
4.0 Nm (0.40 m·kgf, 2.9 ft·lbf)

c. Install the rearview mirrors "3" and rearview
mirror nuts, and then tighten the nuts to spec-
ification.

7 Nm (0.7 m·kgf, 5.1 ft·lbf)

d. Connect the turn signal light couplers "4".

CHECKING THE AIR INTAKE DUCT VALVE

1. Check:
• Air intake duct valve operation
▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼
a. Connect the vacuum/pressure pump gauge
set "1" to the air intake duct valve "2".
b. Check that the air intake duct valve operates
when vacuum pressure is applied to the valve
using the vacuum/pressure pump gauge set.

2. Check:
• Surge tank
Cracks/damage
3. Check:
• One-way valve
Cracks/damage/faulty

tion of the arrow shown in the illustration.
