Important: To support the COMmander 8VoIP
module and the COMmander 16VoIP module, the
PBX requires firmware version 3.0.
Important: To support the VMF module, the PBX
requires firmware version 4.0.
Important: Due to technical reasons, when inserting
the first VoIP module, both VoIP channels on the
base device must be switched off.
Important: If a non-compatible COMmander 4S
module is damaged by its short circuit when being
operated in a COMmander Basic.2, repair charges
are required.
Use only COMmander 4S
version "Rev. 2" or "Rev. 3".
It may be possible to retrofit other existing
modules that do not have this label. For more
information about this, please contact our
technical Hotline.
Note: The first series of the COMmander 4S
was designed for the power supply of the
COMmander Basic regarding short-circuit resistance.
Due to be significantly larger power supply unit for the
COMmander Basic.2, the module needed to be
adapted in order to ensure continued short-circuit
resistance.
Note: Switching between the internal and external
operating modes of the S
jumpers on the S
modules.

Note: Using the configuration manager, any number
of available VoIP channels can be reserved for
internal and external calls.
Software Extensions
When the PBX is enabled in an Upgrade Centre, various
extensions and other features can be activated .
Important: The system dongle required for the
extension is not part of the basic unit.
You can extend the PBX with the following functions:
Hotel Function
Automatic reception
Project numbers
X.31 on an internal S
The following functions, some of which are already
enabled, can be extended:
LCR (number of subscribers from 16 to 112)
LAN-TAPI (number of subscribers from 4 to 112)
Call data recording (number of data sets from 3000
to 9000)
Call Through (number of available lines from 4 to
all)
In addition, the following phone numbers/channels and
the number of voice mail/fax boxes can be extended:
Subscriber numbers (number of subscribers from
48 to 112)
VoIP channels (an additional 8)

Important: The addition of the boxes and voice mail/
fax channels requires that a COMmander VMF
module is present.
The addition of eight VoIP channels requires that at
least one COMmander 8VoIP module is present and
the maximum number of VoIP channels has not yet
been reached.

Maximum Extension
The PBX can be operated with a maximum of 48 internal
subscriber connections (analog, VoIP, and ISDN).
Note: One internal S
nal subscriber connections in this case. This means
that the limit is reached with e.g. 16 internal S
8 U
ports, and 8 a/b ports.

The PBX can be operated with a maximum of 34 trunk
lines (consisting of external VoIP and ISDN channels).
