When fitting the plug onto the sub−base, observe the
maximum tightening torque of 0.5 Nm.
Screening/shield
Use a cable as short as possible to connect the cable

screening/shield to the FE pin of the Festo sub−D plug.
If other screened plugs are used, the metal flange
(housing) of the sub−D plug can also be used for
connecting the cable screening/shield.
