Preparing commissioning

Procedure
1. Remove the transportation lock of the pressure vent valve, if applicable.

2. Check the oil level in the gearbox, and correct the oil level, if necessary. See Checking
and changing lubricants (Page 145)
Note
For gearboxes with long-term preservation and gearboxes supplied completely filled with
oil.
We recommend a complete oil change after a storage time longer than 24 months.
3. Mount an oil expansion unit. See Mount the oil expansion unit (Page 103)
You have now prepared commissioning.

Commissioning procedure

Procedure
● Ensure that the frequency converter is correctly parameterized.
● Commission the motor with an appropriate commissioning tool, e.g. "Drive ES" or
"STARTER".
● Follow the steps of the commissioning tool.
You have commissioned the motor.

Switching off
● Switch off the motor at the frequency converter.
