Mount the oil expansion unit

The oil expansion unit equalizes changes in the oil volume caused by temperature
fluctuations in operation.
The oil expansion unit is required
● at high input speeds
● in mounting position M4 (motor top)
The size of the supplied oil expansion unit depends on the gearbox.

Contact the Siemens Service Center for final selection of the oil expansion unit.
The unit is supplied as a mounting kit.

Attaching the oil expansion unit before commissioning
Before commissioning the gearbox, replace the pressure vent valve that is already installed
with the provided oil expansion unit.
