4.1 Safety instructions
Danger to life due to freely rotating parts
Contact with rotating parts can cause death or severe injury.
• Do not touch any rotating parts
• Mount a cover cap or protective shroud over freely rotating parts.
Danger to life due to unpredictable movements of the system
The system can perform unpredictable movements under load that can cause death or
severe injury.
• De-energize the system before starting work.
• Disconnect all loads from the system.
• Secure the system against accidental reclosing.
NOTICE
Irreparable damage to gearbox components and bearings due to welding
During welding work on the gearbox, components in the gearbox can become
unintentionally welded together due to the temperatures generated.
• Do not carry out any welding work on the gearbox.
• Do not use the gearbox as a grounding point for welding operations.
NOTICE
Overheating caused by solar radiation
Overheating of the gearbox due to exposure to direct sunlight.
Provide suitable protective equipment such as covers or roofs. Prevent heat accumulation.
NOTICE
Malfunction resulting from foreign objects
The operator must ensure that no foreign objects impair the function of the gearbox.
NOTICE
Damaged components impair the correct function of the gearbox
If any components are damaged, the correct function of the gearbox will no longed be
ensured.
Do not install any damaged gearbox components.
