1 GETTING STARTED
1.3 URPC SOFTWARE
The Faceplate keypad and display or the URPC software interface can be used to communicate with the relay.
The URPC software interface is the preferred method to edit settings and view actual values because the PC monitor can
display more information in a simple comprehensible format.
The following minimum requirements must be met for the URPC software to properly operate on a PC.

Processor:
Intel
Pentium 300 or higher
RAM Memory:
64 MB minimum (128 MB recommended)
Hard Disk:
50 MB free space required before installation of URPC software

O/S:
Windows
Device:
CD-ROM drive
Port:
COM1(2) / Ethernet
Refer to the following procedure to install the URPC software:

1.
Start the Windows
operating system.
2.
Insert the URPC software CD into the CD-ROM drive.
3.
If the installation program does not start automatically, choose Run from the Windows
D:\SETUP.EXE. Press Enter to start the installation.
4.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the URPC software. When the Welcome window appears, click on Next to
continue with the installation procedure.
5.
When the Choose Destination Location window appears and if the software is not to be located in the default direc-
tory, click Browse and type in the complete path name including the new directory name.
6.
Click Next to continue with the installation procedure.
7.
The default program group where the application will be added to is shown in the Select Program Folder window. If it
is desired that the application be added to an already existing program group, choose the group name from the list
shown.
8.
Click Next to begin the installation process.
9.
To launch the URPC application, click Finish in the Setup Complete window.
10. Subsequently, double click on the URPC software icon to activate the application.

information about the URPC software interface.
