Learn about printhead maintenance
C. Between print runs. A purge & dry tissue wipe is needed when a new print run starts, more
than 40 seconds later than the previous print run ended. When there are jobs to print the
printhead unit goes to the maintenance position. If the previous wet tissue wipe was more than
eight hours ago, a wet tissue wipe is performed. In this example at 15:30.
D. Non-stop printing. When the printer prints continuously, a wet tissue wipe and purge & dry
tissue wipe are scheduled 3.5 hours after the previous purge & dry tissue wipe. The run will be
interrupted.
E. Print other media. When new media are printed, a purge & dry tissue wipe can be needed. For
example, when the printer prints on a smaller media size for longer than 40 seconds, a purge &
dry tissue wipe is needed before the printer can continue with the wider media.
