CQ 22 Unfused Copy
Probable Cause
Corrective Action
1.
The fusing temperature is too low.

ChecWadjust the Fuser Temperature (ADJ
10.1).
Definition
2. Damp media.
Unfused copy is a copy
where the image can be
easily wiped off the media.
2a. Cut sheet media
Make a copy using a sheet of media from the middle of the
stack of media in the media storage on the stand.
If the problem is corrected, ensure that the cut sheet media
is being stored correctly.
2b. Roll media
Remove and discard the first 3 t o 6 feet (1 t o
2
metres) of
media from the roll. Make a copy on the new media.
If the problem is corrected, ensure that the roll media
is
being stored correctly.
3. lncorrect fabric guide tension.
4. Fuser pressure plate not seated correctly.
5. The image density is too high.
WARNING
There will be a time delay between the time
the code [lo] is entered, and the time the
motor starts t o turn. The motor will not start
until the fuser is at the correct temperature.
6.
lncorrect Fuser Heat Rod
7.
lncorrect Toner.
8. lncorrect voltage at the wall receptacle.
Check that the fabric guide tensioning assembly
(PL
8.3) is
not binding and the weight is centered in the fabric guide.
Ensure that the fuser pressure plate is seated correctly.
Make several copies, and then enter the code
[lo]
t o switch
on the main drive motor and code [25] t o check the toner
concentration.
6. Ensure that the correct Heat Rod is installed (PL
10.1).
7. Ensure that the correct toner is installed (Section 6).
8. Check for
