• Put the device carefully on the orientation system. Turn the threaded connection on the
antenna to attach the device to the orientation system. Tighten the connection to the correct
torque (not more than 40 N·m / 29.5 lbf·ft) with a 50 mm (G 1½ / 1½ NPT) or 65 mm (G 3 /
3 NPT) open-end wrench.

3.8.2 How to tilt the device

If you must measure a product which does not have a level surface then attach an orientation
system and tilt the device to get a good measurement signal. You can tilt the device to a
maximum angle of 30° from the vertical axis.

Equipment needed:
• 5 mm Allen wrench (not supplied)
• Loosen the 4 socket head screws around the orientation system with a 5 mm Allen wrench.
• Tilt the device to the correct angle.
• Tighten the 4 socket head screws. This step locks the orientation system to prevent
movement.

3.9 How to attach the purging system adaptor to the device

If it is necessary to clean the Lens antenna, you can attach a purging system adaptor to the
device. This part is available as an accessory for devices with threaded connections.
INFORMATION!
The purging system adaptor has an inlet with a G 1/4 threaded connection.
