HTTP/HTTPS (Web Server) Interfaces

Chapter 6. MODEM CONFIGURATION
Chapter 4. UPDATE FIRMWARE
The modems embedded Web Server application provides the user with an easy to use interface
to configure and monitor all aspects of the modem. The modems HTTP/HTTPS Interface requires
Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7.0 (or higher) and Mozilla Firefox 2.0 (or higher), via HTTP or
HTTPS (depending on the modem's security level setting). See Chapter 6. MODEM
CONFIGURATION.
All Web Server Interfaces are accessible by typing (depending on the interface and/or
management mode) "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" or "https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" into the browser's
Address box (where "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" is the IP address of the modem or optional installed
interface). See Chapter 4. UPDATE FIRMWARE, Sect. 4.2 for instructions on how to obtain the
IP address.
For all interfaces, the user is prompted to type in a valid User name
and Password, whether via an integrated Web page or a dialog box
similar to the one shown to the right. For all interfaces, the default for
both is comtech.
