Before removing packaging inspect and note
any carton damage. Remove all packaging
materials. The bottom skid is secured with
carriage bolts to the bottom of the washer
frame.
As soon as the packaging is removed the
entire washer needs to be inspected and any
damaged parts will need to be replaced prior
to installation.
If damage is discovered during the delivery,
notation must be made on the transportation
company's freight bill. If discovered
after delivery, but before uncrating, the
transportation company must be notified for
them to inspect the damage prior to uncrating.
Reports to shipping companies must be made
within 15 days of delivery date. Claims must
be made to the freight company after repairs
are made to the washer. If severe damage is
inflicted on the washer it should be refused.
nOTe: The Maytag responsibility for
a shipment reaching its destination in
satisfactory condition ends with it being
delivered to the shipping company in good
condition. All washers should be signed for
after they are inspected and found to be in
good condition.

If the display is lit and the vend price is
showing or select cycle appears in the display,
then the washer is ready to start a cycle.
First, load the items that are intended to be
washed into the washer and then secure the
latch by closing the door and pressing in on
the right end of the door handle. Once the
door is latched add the detergent and the
fabric softener, if needed, into the dispenser
compartments. Then select the cycle on the
User Interface. There are 6 cycle selector
buttons on PD models:
1. WHITES
2. COLORS
3. BRIGHT COLORS
4. PERMANENT PRESS
5. QUICK WASH
6. DELICATES AND KNITS
