1. Remove basket pulley (See page 6-47).
2. Remove six 10mm bolts that secure back
seal plate to bearing housing. Pull plate off.
3. Clean grease out of bearing house shoulder
4. Use screwdrivers to remove copper
distance-ring and silver ring from shaft.

5. Remove the tub front panel (See page 6-46)
6. Place a wood shim(s) between the outer tub
and the spin basket to keep it close to level
during removal.

7. Remove the inverter and bracket
(See page 7-7).
8. Attach two-claw puller tool, #518851, to the
left and right sides of the bearing housing
with the center pushing bolt aligned with the
center bolt in the shaft.
9. Use a lever bar to turn the shaft of the puller
tool to push the spin basket until it is free
from the bearings. Remove the puller.
10. Remove the center bolt from the shaft.
