Invert Water Inlet Valve Screen; Convert From 60Hz To 50Hz Operation - Maytag MFR Series Service Manual

1. Remove the washer hoses if installed.
2. To invert an inlet valve screen, use needle
nose pliers to pull it out using a twisting
motion.
3. Clean screen if not new, and reinstall it
in the inverted position. This procedure
lengthens the time between having to
clean it.

Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Remove the lower service panel
(See page 4-12).
2. Remove the drain valve wire connector
cover.
3. Disconnect the white wire from the "60Hz"
terminal and connect it to the "50Hz"
terminal.
4. Reassemble the washer and test operation.
nOTe: MFR80 washers have two drain
valves and the steps described above must
be done on both drain valves.
