DiaGnOSinG THe COnTROl BOaRD

Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1.
Green LED (PWR ON) on top near
transformer should be on when washer is
powered up.
2.
If no green LED, check for 208 - 240VAC at
P1 power connector on control board.
3.
If no display, check fuse on board, if fuse is
good (See page 8-11).
4.
Is the chip present?
5.
Is the chip properly installed? (no bent pins
or pins not in the sockets)
6.
Is the chip properly oriented? (notch in the
correct position)
7.
Check for burnt components, especially
around the transformer area.
8.
Correct software version on the chip? (read
the software version in the service mode)
9.
Display wires connected at Anode &
Cathode and not damaged?

10.
All connections properly in position?
11.
Green and red LEDs (RX & TX) flashing
when communicating with the inverter. If
not flashing, see troubleshooting inverter
(See page 8-2).
12.
In the service mode, check that the
inputs are correct (easy to see the inputs
- use schematic to know how the numbers
corresponds to input).
13.
Move control board to a working washer or
a simulator to test it.
