12.
Verify the distance from the chalk marks to
the door glass.
13.
If the distance is greater on top or on the
bottom, note this for further reference to add
washers to the hinge blocks.
14.
Verify the free space between the hinge
and the lower hinge block is 0.04" (1mm) or
more. If it is, and step 13 showed greater
distance on the top or bottom of the gasket
it should be corrected by adding washers to
top or bottom hinge block.
Free Space

And Block
15.
Observe the distance (spacing) between
the door handle lever and the door lock
roller.
Latch
Roller
16.
Move the door slowly to the closed position
with handle closed, using one finger, until
the latch touches the stainless steel roller
of the door lock, then release the pressure
against the door.
17.
With proper tension the door will move
back out so there will be about 1/4" to 1/2"
spacing.
MFR30/40/50: 0.2" - 0.4" (5 – 10mm)
MFR60/80:
18.
If the door moves out further there is too
much tension and an additional shim is
needed between the door hinge plate and
the door ring.
MFR30/40/50: > 0.4" (> 10mm)
MFR60/80:
19.
If the door does not move out at all, there
is not enough tension (the door probably
leaks) and a shim (shims) need to be
removed.
MFR30/40/50: <0.2" (5mm)
MFR60/80:
TeCH Tip: The door gasket can be "set" by
too much tension in just a single area. Just
rotating the gasket and checking for proper
tension may resolve a door leak.
