8. Ensure that the molded strain relief of the power cord is
aligned and inserted all the way into the strain relief bracket
before installing the U-Clip. Once inserted, install the U-Clip
to lock the molded on strain relief of the power cord in
position within the strain relief bracket.

9. Insert the cord into the machine and secure the cord side
connector to the matching machine side connector. Ensure
the connector lock is engaged.
10. While the internal connector is still accessible, perform an
Earthing Continuity Test:
A current of at least 10 A, derived from a source having a
no-load voltage not exceeding 12 V (AC or DC), is passed
between:
n The grounding pin or earthing contact of the plug, and
n The grounding conductor of the appliance side connector
(female);
The voltage drop is measured and the resistance is calculated
and shall not exceed 0.2 Ω.
If not found to be properly grounded, contact the
manufacturer. Do not connect to the power supply.

11. Once ground continuity is confi rmed, rotate the fully
assembled strain relief bracket and insert it into the opening
in the back panel with the connector side facing inward.
The installer shall ensure:
a) That the screw bore is aligned with the back panel screw
orifi ce.
b) The lip of the strain relief bracket is on the external side of
the metal back panel.

12. Insert the retaining screw from step 1 and secure the cord set
to the back panel. The cord assembly shall not be able to be
pushed inward, pulled outward, or twisted in any fashion that
puts stress on the internal conductors. If not secured, revisit
sections 7-11 and ensure proper installation.

IMPORTANT: Position the washer so that the rear of the washer
is within approximately 900 mm (3 ft) of its fi nal location.
There are 4 shipping bolts in the rear panel of the washer that
support the suspension system during transportation.
1. Keep the washer in the upright position while removing the
shipping bolts.
