necting the manual feeder pickup clutch (CL5).

Once the manual feeder pickup operation starts, the multi lifting plate up/down solenoid (SL4) turns ON. Then, the lifting plate of the manual feeder pickup assem-

bly goes up, and a paper on the manual feeder pickup tray is pressed against the manual feeder pickup roller. In terms of paper, one paper is separated and fed by

means of the manual feeder pickup roller and the separation pad.
