SAS / SATA / NVMe Data Cable Guide

By default, all L6 Integrated Systems will include SATA data cables routed from the front hot swap backplane to the Onboard SATA controller
connectors.
SAS / SATA / NVMe data cables are NOT included with any of the chassis only building block SKUs. They must be ordered separately to match the
desired system configuration.
On the backside of each installed backplane will be a multi-port SFF-8643 mini-SAS HD data connector for each set of four SATA / SAS drives.
Backplanes that include support for 2.5" PCIe NVMe drives will also include one PCIe OCuLink connector for each PCIe NVMe drive it supports. Drive
numbers in the Cable Configuration Tables are matched to specific cable connectors found on the given backplane.

Note: The back side (cable connector side) of a backplane will have one OCuLink cable connector for each PCIe NVMe SFF drive it supports. If a
backplane has no OCuLink cable connectors, then it does not have support for NVMe drives. Drive bay population rules may apply for backplanes that
support SATA/SAS and PCIe NVMe drives. See the appropriate System Technical Product Specification for drive support information.
