When a Meter list is executed, the Communications Server opens on the desktop, showing data being
transferred in Red (Transmit) or Green (Receive) blocks of data in the Communications window.
Communications can take place on up to nine Ports.
To view data in the form of a Log while it is being transferred, click in the Communications Window.
The data being transferred is displayed as a log while communications take place.

Notes
1. During Comms the Serial number and Scheme name are displayed once connection to the meter is
established. If this data is not available, ? is displayed
2. The number of sent and received Packets is displayed with the number of bytes
3. The program can be aborted during comms by clicking Exit. This will end all sessions in an orderly
manner.
4. It is recommended that the comms application is closed down once the Master Unit has been
closed

Open - Allows files stored on the PC to be Read and Viewed
Close - Closes an opened file
Save - Saves an opened file
Save/As - Saves a file as a New Name
Print Preview - Shows page layout of a file to be printed
Print - Prints an opened file
Print Setup - Configures the System Printer
Exit - Exits the Communications Server
Window
Arrange - Arranges customised Meter manager,
Meter list and Scheme manager windows to original
view.
