Communications

8.1

Communications Methods

Communications are set up within the Meter manager using the Meter information editor.
The set up requires the communications type etc., an outstation number and telephone number
depending on the communications type to be defined.

Connections

To Set- up/Modify a Connections for a modem
Create a New Meter from the Meter manager. Type in the new name (Test)
Double click on the meter and Select Communications
Press New/Edit to display the dialog above
Click New Connection and enter the connection name
Select the method of connection (Modem)
Select the modem serial port (Com 1)
Press Save, then Close
Once the Connection is complete, type in the Outstation number, Telephone number and Baud rate to
complete the communications setup.
