5.2.4 Connecting a Itansceiver Cable
A transceiver cable is the physical connection between a standard
Ethernet network interfece, the H4000, H4005, or DELNI, and a
VAXstation 3100.
Tb connect a transceiver cable:

Turn the system unit off (0).

Remove the loopback connector.

Attach the 15-pin connector on the standard Ethernet
transceiver cable to the back of the system imit. Make
the connection in this way if your system is a standalone
networked system.

Use the screwdriver included in your shipment to move the
sliding lock (part of the standard Ethernet connector) to make
the standard Ethernet connection secure. Figure 5--8 shows
the correct connection.
