6.2 Using the Troubleshooting Tabie
After you have determined the source of your problem, follow
these steps:

For monitor problems, see your monitor guide.
•
For network problems, see Chapter 5.
•
For problems with the RRD40 compact disc drive, see the
diagnostic information in Section 7.8.1 and in the RRD40 Disc
Drive Owner's Manual.
•
For other problems:

Note the symptoms of the problem.

Check the Symptom colimin in Table 6-1 for a match.

Check the conditions for that symptom in the Possible
Cause column. If more than one possible cause is given,
check the possible causes and their suggested solutions in
the order listed.

Follow the advice in the Suggested Solution colimin.

Run system diagnostics, as described in Chapter 7.

If the problem persists, call your Digital service
representative.
