Figure 5-7 shows the correct way to remove a T-connector from an
active ThinWire segment.

Make sure that no more than two Thin^re segments are
connected to the T-connector. If youremove a liiinWire cable,
replace it with a terminator.

Check that you have not disconnected a terminator from either
end of an active ThinWire segment. This procedure disrupts
network operation.

Check that all connections on the ThinWire Ethernet segment
a r e secure.

Check that there are no branches off a Thin\^re segment
except through a DEMPR (Digital Ethernet Multiport
Repeater). A DEMPR provides eight ThinWire Ethernet
drops from a single standard Ethernet connection. See the
Workstations Network Guide for additional information.

Check that a Thin'^re segment is not looped from one port on
the DEMPR to another port on the DEMPR.
