16.10.4 How to Fit or Refit a Module
Fitting modules should not require any force.
Hold the module at a 30° angle with the top plastic hooks closest to the DIN rail, and then hook it onto the top edge

of the DIN rail before pushing the bottom carefully into place so that the sliding metal hooks clip onto the DIN rail and
the communication plug and socket engage fully.
2.
Clipping the module to the DIN rail should not require any force so check that it is correctly aligned with the electrical
connector before exerting pressure. Some modules have two slots at the rear of the module case so check that the
correct slot is engaged.
3.
Check that the module LED or LEDs are illuminated.
4.
Re-connect the field equipment by plugging the field terminals into the new module.
5.
Login as an Administrator.
6.
From the System Status screen select the Tool Box icon then System Configuration.
7.
Re-enter the Admin password and select Login.
8.
Initialise the Ring Network. The newly inserted will be seen in the System Setup Tree.
