Rear Wheel Removal; Rear Wheel Bearing Play Inspec­tion - Honda MBX50 Workshop Manual

REAR WHEEL/BRAKE/SUSPENSION
REAR WHEEL
REMOVAL
Remove the brake rod.
Remove the cotter pin and disconnect the torque
link.
Remove the axle nut.
Loosen the lock nut and chain adjusting nut.
Withdraw the axle and remove the rear wheel.
AXLE INSPECTION
Set the axle in V blocks and read the axle bend.
The actual axle bend is 1 /2 of the total indicator
reading.
SERVICE LIMITE: 0.20 mm (0.008 in)
REAR WHEEL BEARING PLAY INSPEC­
TION
Check the wheel bearing play by rotating the wheel
by hand. Replace the bearings with new ones if
they are noisy or have excessive play.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.027 mm (0.0010 in)
