INSPECTION
Check the mechanical seal for damage or deteriora­
tion.
Check the water pump shaft bearing in the right
crankcase cover for excessive play or damage.
Check the water pump shaft for bent or other
damage.
Measure the shaft O.D.
SERVICE LIMIT: 6.90
BEARING/MECHANICAL SEAL
REPLACEMENT
Remove the water pump shaft bearing with the
special tool.
Remove the oil seal and mechanical seal from the
right crankcase cover.
