INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT

REAR BRAKE

REAR BRAKE PEDAL PLAY

Measure the brake pedal free play.
FREE PLAY: 20-30 mm (3/4-1-1/4 in)
If adjustment is necessary, turn the rear brake
adjusting nut.

BRAKE SHOE INSPECTION

Replace the brake shoes if the arrow on the brake
arm aligns with the reference marl< "/',!' on full
application of the rear brake (Page 13-6).
Adjust the brake I ight switch so that the brake I ight
will light when the brake pedal is depressed and the
brake begins engagement.
NOTE
* Do not turn the switch body.
The fron brake light switch does not

require adjustment.
Adjust by turning the switch adjusting nut as
shown.
