If the user wants to send very long documents such as well
logs, use the 46' setting.
If the received document is shorter than specified by this set-
ting, the printer feeds out the difference, giving a blank space
at the bottom of the message.
Do not change the factory setting.
MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) is a digital video process-
ing technique which ensures that fine details such as thin lines
or complex characters in the original are reproduced on the
copy. This helps when sending Chinese characters, but is not
necessary for most business communications using Roman
letters.

If this bit is 1, the status of the cover switch has no effect on
machine operation.
