A. There may be a fault on the Network Interface Card, its cables, or
distribution panel (if used), that was not detected when the system
was powered up.
Refer to the DEC Network Integration Server 600 Configuration Card to
identify the line over which the DECNIS 600 is loaded. Then follow the
procedures on the Problem Solving card for the Network Interface Card
associated with that line.
B. Replace the faulty component:
• The Network Interface Card Cabling Instructions and Specifications
card shows how to replace a distribution panel (if used) and
communications cables.
• Chapter 7 shows how to remove a Network Interface Card and
Chapter 5 shows how to install a new Network Interface Card.
Then monitor the displays (see Section 9.2). If the problem persists, contact
Digital Services.
