Locating the Faulty Component
Use this chapter in the following way:
1. Turn to the section that identifies the problem. (Chapter 9 helps you to
identify the problem by listing possible symptoms.)
2. Follow the diagnostic flowcharts on the lefthand pages. Section 10.1
describes how to use the flowcharts.
3. Refer to the corresponding notes on the opposite page. The notes will
provide you with an answer to a question on the flowchart or will provide
you with a possible solution to the problem.
If the problem is not solved, go to the next step on the flowchart.
