‡Creepage distance where the DECNIS 600 is subject to conductive pollution or dry nonconductive
pollution which could become conductive due to condensation.
These distances can be checked by measuring between the adjacent parts as
shown in Figure C–1. Clearance distance is shown by the identifier x, which is
the shortest distance in air between two points. Creepage distance is shown by
the identifier y, which is the path taken around the system between the same
two points.
If you are in doubt, consult a competent telecommunications safety engineer for
advice. Failure to install a Network Interface Card in accordance with these
instructions will invalidate the BABT approval.
