7-3 Functions of Pulse Generation Mode
7-3-17 Operation when an ±OT error has been detected
• When +OT (-OT) detection is enabled, an +OT (-OT) error occurs if the +OT (-OT) input signal is released. If an
±OT error has occurred, operation is decelerated by acceleration/deceleration register 1.

• The data for the remaining number of pulses is stored in the command pulse register.
Points of use:
·
To reset +OT (-OT), use the alarm reset command after the +OT (-OT) signal is returned to the normal state
(input shorted) and the command pulse register is reset.
·
An +OT error can be detected only when a forward command pulse (in the direction to increase the counter
value) is output.
(Even during +OT error detection, the reverse pulse train command can be used.)
·
An -OT error can be detected only when a reverse command pulse (in the direction to decrease the counter
value) is output.
(Even during -OT error detection, the forward pulse train command can be used.)
When positioning operation is stopped (when command pulse output is stopped), ±OT error detection is
·
disabled.
If the start command is set to "1" by Forward Rotating Direction Select (or Reverse Rotating Direction Select)
when the +OT
(-OT) input is released, an +OT (-OT) error immediately occurs without outputting pulses.
·
Unless the command pulse register is reset, the alarm reset command cannot be accepted. Command in the
reverse direction to the detected OT can be accepted after the command pulse register is reset. When this
error has been detected,
issue a reverse-direction command by the following procedure:
1) After being stopped due to OT error detection, issue the command pulse register reset.
2) Set the moving length in reverse direction.
3) Start positioning in reverse direction.
