Chapter 5 Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
Procedure/Corrective Action
Reseat module.
Reseat or replace input module (or
clock module if necessary).
Remove the Tx Cable
Adjust accordingly.
Main shelf:
left slot = even
right slot = odd
Expansion shelf:
left slot = odd
right slot = even
Verify cabling is connected properly.
Replace cabling.
Check connection to power supply.
Replace module.
Press RST on Comms module front
panel.
Replace Comms module.
Replace module.
Check to ensure that UPS (if applicable)
is operating correctly.
Remove fuses and replace.
Re-attach ground wires.
Check that power cables to unit are
securely fastened.
Call Symmetricom Global Services.
Check SDU cable and connect D clock.
Ensure clock modules are inserted
properly.
No action necessary.
