Interpreting Status Messages

The SSU-2000 provides two types of status messages: alarm and event. The
following sections describe these messages.
Alarm Messages
With the exception of loss of power alarms (on main chassis and expansion unit) all
alarms are module alarms. Chapter 6 of the SSU-2000 Technical Reference lists
each module with corresponding alarm descriptions, alarm levels, status messages,
and corrective action. Since a "no fault" alarm requires no action, the "Corrective
Action" category applies only to fault messages requiring user intervention.
Event Messages
Chapter 6 of the SSU-2000 Technical Reference lists event messages categorized
by module. Each section lists status messages associated with each module and an
event description of each message.
