Important regulatory information
Lightning protection
To protect outdoor radio installations from the impact of lightning strikes, the installer must be
familiar with the normal procedures for site selection, bonding and grounding. Installation
guidelines for the PTP 650 can be found in
Chapter 2: System hardware
and
Chapter 5:
Installation.
Training
The installer needs to have basic competence in radio and IP network installation. The specific
requirements applicable to the PTP 650 should be gained by reading
Chapter 5: Installation
and
Chapter 6: Configuration and alignment
and by performing sample set ups at base workshop
before live deployments.
