Create the Server Profile Template for the HPE OneView for vCenter Plugin
Procedure
1 From the top left corner of the HPE OneView UI, choose HP OneView > Server Profile Templates.
2 Select CA700_BL460c_Gen9_Server_Profile_Template.
3 From the top right side, choose Actions > Create server profile and enter the following information:
•
Name: CA700_OV4VC_BL460c_Gen9_Server_Profile_Template.
•
Description: CA700 OV4VC BL460c Gen9 Server Profile Template.
•
Server Hardware: Unassigned.
4 Click Create.
5 If you have other configurations of HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 servers such as servers with different NIC
or boot configurations, repeat this procedure for those server hardware types.
6 If you are using HPE ProLiant WS460c Gen9 servers, use this procedure to create a server profile template
for those servers as well.
Note
This deployment guide does not cover the use of HPE ProLiant WS460c Gen9 servers other than
in the deployment of the VMware plugin.
Creating Profile Templates for the HPE ProLiant BL660c Gen9 Servers
Before creating a template profile for an HPE ProLiant BL660c Gen9 blade, you must wait until the enclosure
with the HPE ProLiant BL660c Gen9 servers is fully imported into HPE OneView.
If an HPE ProLiant BL660c Gen9 server has two LOMs and additional NIC or CNA mezz cards, the connection
for the Mgmt_A and the Mgmt_B management networks should be on LOM2. The HPE OneView for vCenter
plugin does not support the use of Mgmt_A on multiple NICs because it causes deployment failures.
Create the Server Profile Template for the HPE ProLiant BL660c Gen9 Servers
Procedure
1 From the top left corner of the HPE OneView UI, choose HP OneView > Server Profile Templates.
2 Click Create server profile template:
a Enter the following information:
•
Name: CA700_BL660c_Gen9_Server_Profile_Template.
•
Description: CA700 BL660c Gen9 Server Profile Template.
•
Server profile description: CA700 BL660c Gen9 Server Profile Template.
•
Server hardware type: BL660c Gen9 1.
•
Enclosure Group: Solution_EG.
•
Affinity: Device Bay.
•
Firmware baseline: Select the HPE SPP that you uploaded earlier.
•
Installation Method: Firmware only.
b Click Add Connection and use the information in the following table to create the connections.
