Create the Server Profile Template for the Management Server
5 Right-click <<mgmt_server_2_hostname>> and choose Power > Shut Down.
Create the Server Profile Template for the Management Server
Procedure
1 From the top left corner of the HPE OneView UI, choose HP OneView > Server Profile Templates.
2 Click Create server profile template:
a Enter the following information:
•
Name: CA700 DL360Gen9 Management Server Template.
•
Server profile description: CA700 DL360 Gen9 Management Server Template.
•
Server hardware type: DL360 Gen9 1.
•
Firmware baseline: Select the HPE SPP that you uploaded earlier.
•
Installation Method: Firmware only.
b Enable the Manage boot mode option and enter the following information:
•
Boot mode: UEFI optimized.
•
PXE boot policy: Auto.
c Enable the Manage BIOS option and click Edit BIOS Setting:
a Choose Power Management > Power Profile > Maximum Performance.
b Click OK.
d Click Create.
Apply the Server Profile Template to the Management Servers
Procedure
1 From the top left corner of the HPE OneView UI, choose HP OneView > Server Profile Templates.
2 Select CA700 DL360Gen9 Management Server Template.
3 From the top right side, choose Actions > Create server profile and enter the following information:
•
Name: <<mgmt_server_2_hostname>>.
•
Description: <<mgmt_server_2_hostname>> server profile.
•
Server Hardware: <<mgmt_server_2_ilo_hostname>>.
4 Click Create.
The firmware baseline is applied and the server should reboot several times. After the profile is completely
applied, the server shuts down.
5 Power on the server by selecting the profile in HPE OneView and choosing Actions > Power On.
6 Allow the server to boot into VMware vSphere and wait for the system to rejoin the cluster in VMware
vCenter.
You must take the server out of maintenance mode before you can use it again.
7 Repeat this procedure for all management servers in the solution. Before you apply the profile, migrate
any VMs out of each server and shut down the server.
Creating Profile Templates for the HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Servers
Before creating a template profile for an HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 blade, you must wait until the enclosure
with the HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 servers is fully imported into HPE OneView.
