Configure iLO
b Power up the server.
c Press F9 when the server POST displays F9 System Utilities on the bottom of the screen.
d Select System Configuration and press Enter.
e Select BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) and press Enter.
2 Configure the date and time:
a Select Date and Time and press Enter.
b Select the month digits on Date and press Enter. Enter the month in the mm format and press Enter.
c Use the right arrow to select the day digits and press Enter. Enter the day in the dd format and press
Enter.
d Use the right arrow to select the year digits and press Enter. Enter the year in the yyyy format and
press Enter.
e Select the hour digits on Time and press Enter. Enter the hour in the hh format and press Enter.

Use the right arrow to select the minute digits and press Enter. Enter the minutes in the mm format
and press Enter.
g Select Time Zone and press Enter. Select the appropriate time zone and press Enter.
h Press F10 to save. Enter Y to save and exit. After the Changes Saved pop-up window displays, press
Enter.
3 Configure the iLO IP information – IP Information:
a Press ESC to go to the BIOS menu and again to go to the System Configuration menu.
b Select iLO 4 Configuration Utility and press Enter.
c Select Network Options and press Enter.
d Select DHCP Enable and press Enter. In the pop-up, select OFF and press Enter.
e Select DNS Name and press Enter. Enter <<mgmt_server_1_ilo_hostname>> and press Enter.

Select IP Address and press Enter. Enter <<mgmt_server_1_ilo_ip>>and press Enter.
g Select Subnet Mask and press Enter. Enter <<mgmt_net_netmask>> and press Enter.
h Select Gateway IP Address and press Enter. Enter <<mgmt_net_gw>> and press Enter.

Press F10 to save the configuration.

Enter Y to save and exit.
k Press Enter on the iLO Needs to Reset pop-up window.

Wait 30 seconds for the iLO to reset, and then try to reconnect to the iLO and open the remote console.
m Press Enter on the iLO is Resetting pop-up window again and then ESC.
n Press ESC to go to the iLO 4 Configuration Utility menu, again to go to the Systems Configuration
menu, and again at the System Utilities menu.
o Press Enter to exit RBSU and Enter again to reboot.
p Select Reboot the System and press Enter to reboot the system.
4 Configure the iLO IP information – Advanced Network Options:
a Press F9 when the server POST displays F9 System Utilities at the bottom of the screen.
b Select System Configuration and press Enter.
c Select iLO 4 Configuration Utility and press Enter.
d Select Advanced Network Options and press Enter.
e Select Gateway from DHCP and press Enter. In the pop-up, select Disabled and press Enter.

Select DHCP Routes and press Enter. In the pop-up window, select Disabled and press Enter.
g Select Gateway from DHCP and press Enter. In the pop-up window, select Disabled and press Enter.
h Select DNS from DHCP and press Enter. In the pop-up window, select Disabled and press Enter.

Select DNS Server 1 and press Enter. Enter <<mgmt_net_dns1>> and press Enter.

Select WINS from DHCP and press Enter. In the pop-up window, select Disabled and press Enter.
k Select Domain Name and press Enter. In the pop-up window, enter <<mgmt_net_domain_name>>
and press Enter.
