Create the Server Profile Template for the HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9
Servers
If an HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 server has multiple NICs (for example, a LOM card and a NIC or CNA in
mezz slot 1), the connection for the Mgmt_A and the Mgmt_B management networks should be only on the
LOM NIC/CNA. The HPE OneView for vCenter plugin does not support the use of Mgmt_A on multiple NICs
because it causes deployment failures.
Create the Server Profile Template for the HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Servers
Procedure
1 From the top left corner of the HPE OneView UI, choose HP OneView > Server Profile Templates.
2 Click Create server profile template:
a Enter the following information:
•
Name: CA700_BL460c_Gen9_Server_Profile_Template.
•
Description: CA700 BL460c Gen9 Server Profile Template.
•
Server profile description: CA700 BL460c Gen9 Server Profile Template.
•
Server hardware type: BL460c Gen9 1.
•
Enclosure Group: Solution_EG.
•
Affinity: Device Bay.
•
Firmware baseline: Select the HPE SPP that you uploaded earlier.
•
Installation Method: Firmware only.
b Click Add Connection and use the information in the following table to create the connections.

c Enable the Manage boot mode option and enter the following information:
•
Boot mode: UEFI optimized.
•
PXE boot policy: Auto.
d Enable the Manage boot order option and select Hard Disk.
e Enable the Manage BIOS option.

Under Advanced, ensure that Virtual is selected for all appropriate options and that Hide unused
FlexNICs is set to Yes.
g Click Create.
