Setting Contrast
Contrast defines the difference in tone between the dark and the light
areas of an image. Higher contrast yields a greater difference with fewer
levels of gray.
Drag the slide bar to the right (PSL3) or choose
sharpen the dark and light areas of the printed image.
Slide the bar to the left (PSL3) or select
number of levels between the dark and light areas of the printed image.
Setting Brightness
Brightness is a measure of how much white an image contains. When you
increase the brightness, the printed image appears lighter.
Drag the slide bar to the right (PSL3) or choose
lighten the printed image up to 50%.
Drag the bar to the left or choose
50%.
Adjusting Halftoning
Halftoning is a method of reproducing an illustration using evenly spaced
dots of varying diameter to produce apparent shades of gray. The number
of dots is measured in lines per inch (lpi).
Creating the desired effect by changing halftoning options varies greatly
with image quality and resolution. Experiment with different options until
you achieve the desired result.
Managing Fonts from a Windows Workstation
Generally, you should not have any problem printing the fonts in your
document. The printer drivers support many advanced font property
settings, allowing you to specify how the printer should manage font
processing. Additionally, if you installed the AGFA Font Manager, you can
add, delete, and manage your font collection from within that application.
Accessing Font Properties
Access font options by selecting the Quality properties page in the print
properties window. If you are using the PostScript driver, right-click the
