Installing Printer Drivers - imagistics ipc1-im8130 Operator's Manual

Enable Macintosh printing from the LCD touch screen or using
Printer Utility.
To use LPR/LPD printing, also enable LPD printing from Printer
Utility.
Prerequisites
1 If you are using the uncompressed Imagistics PPD (for OSX) file, go to
step Step 4. Otherwise, continue with step Step 2.
2 Drag the PPD Stuffit file,
Client CD-ROM to your workstation desktop.
3 Double-click the stuffed file icon on the desktop to open it. To extract
the Macintosh PPD file, you must have the Stuffit utility on the client
system. Continue with step 5.
4 Select and drag the language folder containing the
im8130.PPD
5 Enable Macintosh LPR printing or Macintosh Appletalk printing. Both
methods are described in detail in
on page 38.

Installing Printer Drivers

Download the Drivers from the Controller
The following procedure is the preferred method for downloading drivers
from the controller. The method is known as Point-And-Print.
1 Browse the network for the controller device.
2 After you find the device on the network, click it.
Printer icons appear named: dssc, GL_pc16, and GL_ps.
3 Double-clicking an icon has the following result:
If you double-click the GL_pc16 icon, the PCL6 printer driver is
installed on your system.
If you double-click the GL_ps icon, the PSL3 printer driver is installed
on your system.
If you double-click the dssc icon, the PCL6 printer driver is installed
on your system.
The following procedure explains how to install drivers using the Add
Printer wizard.
